Curly hair is often the envy of most women and the tragedy of those uneducated enough to not appreciate it. Let's fix you up.
First of all, the blow dryer needs be used sparringly and with a diffuser which you may get at any beaty supply store. Never overdry or you will end up with frizz. It is better to simply towel dry and let be. You may also try Toni&guy's bed head control freak shampoo, conditioner, and serum trio; they work wonders.
You may also try the flat iron not more than once or twice per week. Frankly, I find women with curly hair irresistible and her friends with the straight hair, green with envy. Think about that. Men do prefer curly hair on a woman. Advise from your local stylist would also be good.

Listen to me, this is probably the best advice you will ever get from someone about curly hair. I have very curly hair and is hard to maintain. I have tried everything from garnier to loreal and so much more. What you need is to purchase an Olive Oil spray or cream. This will stop the frizz and make your hair feel so soft and keeps your hair from getting all gross and crunchy (which most gels make your hair feel like). Also, you can try the brand IC. Both the olive oil and IC will make your hair feel great! You can buy these at Sally's salon or even in the supermarket. Hope this advice helps!

1) If you are thinking about straightening your hair, you should DEFINITELY get an iron called Babybliss Pro (my is 1/2" width). I saw a VERY SIGNIFICANT difference with my hair. It also is easy to use and doesn't take long to do.
2) Matrix products are also awesome (the leave in conditioner if nothing else).
3) And probably the easier solution, get some of it cut off (my stylist did this for me), people often don't realize the damage in their hair (I didn't in mine), it's like I have a new head of hair (even when I don't straighten it).

it is not good to over wash curly hair, it can make it more kinky and dry. when washing your hair put a dime size of shampoo in your hand and work it gently through your hair especially if it is long, u have to treat long h air like silk. also use a conditoner afterwards (always).

first of all get some nice highlights and since it's long then just leave it down and put some coconut oil in it so it's more in control.

try a smoothing cream like pantene smooth intense cream ($4.00 at wal mart) if nothing is available try olive oil it works wonders, and wash your hair every other day so it conserves its oils.good luck!
