Most of his pieces is "Fine Art" ... he also did sculptures and created pieces out of his popular water techniques & nude subjects.

Dagmar 1911 in The Art Book Phaidon Press. "Although his dancing brush and moving light and color ally him to the Impressionists, his solid forms and luminosity and natural feeling that can be seen in this work are characteristic of Scandinavian painting at the turn of the century."
