No, I don't! Earth is 4,700,000,000 years or so old, so adjusting Genesis creation from Bishop Ussher's date of 4004 BC to 10,000 or 12,000 BC is like exchanging a tablespoon for a teaspoon when you need a giant steam shovel.

According to the chronologies that are based on the Bible record, the earth is between 6,000 and 10,000 years old. There is no reason for it to be any older than that in order to accomplish God's plan. The only reason people believe it may be older is if you want to try and fit in into Darwin's evolutionary charts. There is some indication that the earth's final age when it is destroyed will be 7,000 years. This seems to fit in with many 7s in the Bible, including the 7 days of creation. There would be 2,000 years from Adam to Abraham for the world to become populated, 2,000 years from Abraham to Christ, setting up of the doctrine of the Bible and 2,000 years from Christ to the tribulation, The Church age, then 1,000 years in the Millennium after Christ returns.

I gained't provide you a thorough answer. i visit claim that the creation account from Genesis is somewhat reminiscent of the creation debts from the Mesopotamians of that day. obviously the completed Adam and Eve project changed into unscientific and changed into the finished way the author theory he ought to describe creation at that aspect and time. the biggest emphasis may should be *one God* (which changed into progressive on the on the spot) and the fall of guy(sin). the information of the definitely creation contradict one yet another. for instance flora found in the previous the sunlight?? Cart in the previous the horse? per chance God did not create any accepted(medical) regulations till after he created each and every thing? you should describe away an incredible style of inconsistencies to be certain that the creation account to make any experience compared to the advice we've gleaned from present day technological awareness. that is better sturdy than optimum a camel via the interest of the needle...

Yes but the Bible never says anything about the earth being just 7,000 years old. Each day of creation could have been 2, 5, 15 million years. Maybe a billion I don't know. They are recorded as time periods that God used to prepare the earth for us... Later in Genesis it talks about the "Day" God made the heavens and the earth. Have you ever spoken to an old man.. "Well back in my day....." It wasn't just one day it's a figure of speech.. Jim

I believe in old Earth, but not Creationism...
Regardless of your beliefs on the origin of life, it is pretty silly in light of all the evidence to claim that the Earth is only 7,000 years old.

The Bible does not say that. We know for a fact that the earth is much older than that, so those whose interpretations of the Bible suggest otherwise simply have faulty interpretations, which is certainly not an uncommon occurrence.

Earth is roughly 4.5 Billion years old. To believe Earth is only a few thousand years old is being incredibly ignorant. There is far too much evidence that proves it is much older than that.

Creation is true, read Genesis. Unfortunately people are not concerned with knowing what they believe truly so they never come out of their ignorance
