for crying out loud. Why should all dogs be muzzled? Just because some people insist on owning dangerous, poorly bred and poorly socialised and poorly trained animals in households who clearly dont know the first thing about dogs, then why should responsible owners and their dogs have to suffer the consequences. By the way, anyone leaving a dog in a room with a baby is a total ignoramus. And anyone taking a dog out in public which they know is likely to be a hazard, needs their head looked at, these animals should be destroyed. Simply because stupid humans have let them down. Any dog has the potential to cause harm if it hasn't been treated properly from birth! There is no way my dog needs a muzzle in public.

all dogs are bred originally from wolves and all have a natural instinct to kill...i have a dog and he is the softest thing in the world but you never know, i have never had a bad experience with a dog but i wouldnt like to for 2 reasons 1 i love dogs and wouldnt want one to be put down if they bit me and 2 it would hurt, but i think any dog that can do serious damage to anyone should be kept on a lead and if you cant handle the dog because of the size of it you shouldnt have one that size. I believe it is the responsibility of the owner not the dog, the dog is following its natural instincts

Hard question to answer. My dog was attack by a Staffordshire bull terrier. I was left with a very distressed & wounded dog and a hefty vets bill. The owner of the offending dog denied that his dog was to blame and because I was on my own my word was not enough to prove that this dog had attacked mine even though this dog had been reported before & I had fur with the offending dogs saliva on. (The police told me that all dogs have the same DNA) Do I believe them?

i dont believe they should all be muzzled because it is unfair to treat all dogs the same due to some unfortunate and tragic events. the problem that needs to be focused on are the owners and the way dogs are bred to react. more restrictions should be in place for owning dogs. if a dog is bought up properly by responsible owners there will be no need for restricting them with muzzles.

It's probably not the dogs fault it's usually the owners.
I have had dogs all of my life (52 now) and they have never attacked anyone.
Mine have all be trained and never hit or smacked.
You have to teach an animal how to be violent.
They should put the owners down not the dogs.

I have a cross Alsatian / greyhound she's quite a big dog but the most she would do is try and lick you to death she loves to play with kids we even have kids calling at our house asking if they can take her out to play with them, you will get bad dogs the same as you get bad people. But it's the d**kheads who get dogs and turn them vicious the dog is only doing what it's been taught to do.

should your child that starts a fight in school be handcuffed in public???? No the parent should teach him better, same for dogs and if its a act of self defense or defense of someone else than the situation needs to be examined closer to determine whos in the right. People should have to qualify to have pets in general not just dogs, i hate people that have cats and just let them run loose in the neighborhood, I got the sht scrathed outta me when i was litte trying to pet a cat, who knows that cat could have just killed somethin with rabies and gave it to me through his claws, they also rip up your trash, sht in your yard, kill squirles that some people view as pets and in some cases have killed dogs
