The question "What is the meaning of life?", is often asked by many people, who are confused to how a single goal in life can be pinned to all beings. However the answer behind this question, which at first seems so very confusing and complex, is actually very simple...
The meaning of life, wether you be a Christian, a Buddhist, an Atheist, a Sadist, a rabbit or a flamingo:- is that you want happiness.
Every human craves one single thing and that is to be happy.
Now happiness is of course completely undefined, as the terminology 'happiness' can mean totally different things to different people.
For instance, money may make you happy, where as spotting trains all day may make another happy. This form of 'happiness' is of course not to be confused with wether you are happy or sad, as its meant to mean 'are you doing what you wan to be doing, and are you gald your doing it.'
I make this point as someone who is sexually 'average' (no offence intended (just couldnt think of any other word)), may fail to see how being whipped, can cause a person to gain pleasure, however people do get pleasure out of such acts and that makes them happy, where as it may not have this same effect on the first person in the example.
At the end of the day it is all down to point of view, but all in all the goal is fundamentally the same.

the basic aim of every individual no matter what religion is to get away from the cycle of death and rebirth and be with god in heavan as some ppl like to belive. i was watching a documentary a few week ago about a boy 7 yr old i think who remembers his previous life, and so they tried to search for the truth and came up to a conclusion that the boy was right after testing him. there was another case where a 12 yr old boy was his fathers dad. so i feel that when u are a baby u have some knowledge about ur previous life, but then it starts to fade as u learn to talk etc.
i mean do u remember any particular stuff when u were say 3 or 4 yrs old, i dont i remeber when i was i guess 5 at my earliest memory.

42, according to The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy. I believe the meaning of life is different for everyone, and that the question is far better phrased, "What gives your life meaning?" You can probably answer it yourself now.

To love and to spread love, PEACE, and HEALING throughout our lifetime, throughout our earth. I KNOW God wants us to have a wonderful POSITIVE life, wants us to HELP others, and to grow mentally, spiritually. I'm really into studies of that nature right now, and I'll share some of the things I've learned about connecting wih Source (God). We must learn how: NOT to be judgemental (of anything, anyone), to know we're ALL a part of God, like fingers connected to a hand, we must learn to wish for everyone else, what we wish for ourselves (blessings, miracles, joy, happiness, prosperity). It's best to stay away from ANYTHING negative. EVERYTHING has vibrations of various energies, and to feel our best, we should stick to high energy fields. Even so, we are always allowed free choice---if we are attracted to negatives, that is our choice. I'm conviced God wants us to have a really enjoyable, prosperous, healthy life. Hope I helped some.

Eccl 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Reverence Yahweh, and keep his Laws: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For Yahweh shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be righteous, or whether it be evil.

That was my first question.
And, of course, the answer is 42.
Then you realise that they get you for 5 points for even a really good question and every answer, naff or otherwise, is two points. Hence all the stupid answers.
