the old testament does not say "witches." and yes, that was just a christian thing. jews believe in leaving people with other beliefs alone, and always have. witches were not the only ones murdered by the church during the inquisitions, jews were murdered too.

First off what is a real definition of a witch and second how can anyone who beliefs in a spiritual but still fictional work of literature (bible) as fact be taken seriously?

Regarding "jewish girl" statement below, why do they take the "oral torah" literally, but not the Bible? How do they know it is not the other way around? Why wouldn't G-d just speak plainly the first time, rather than give another book to explain the hidden meaning behind the verses in the Bible?

First of all it's no one business to go around killing people, doesn't matter what they do. Witchcraft is a very serious thing and G-D punishes one who practice that, it's not the humans responsibility to do that.

i think it was a murder thing and its good it stopped cuz Satan still lives anyway....He is the one tempting these witches to do that stuff..Murder is outlawed thats why Old Covenant no longer used other than 10 commands We can eat pork too....

it says not to tolerate a sorceresses - Jews know there is mystical powers out there but they are not to practice it or rely upon it they are to put their faith only in G-d.
