FYI: next time you ask a question it should be placed in the category that matches the question. For example: A GENEALOGY question would be "How do I trace my family tree?" etc. Good luck on the necklace question.

is it the itchy fibrous beige type? or colored? that's hemp. MICHAELS and craft shops and maybe sewing places would have them.

otherwise, you can use silk/nylon/synthetic thread. if you need to get some..i have sites and stores that you can go to.

or...if it is just for 1 project and not a hobby....I'd be happy to send you some that I have!
