tell them you will need to call them in case of an accident, or for your own safety. you might have a problem and might need some help...it could be a life or death emergency. there are a lot of accidents that could occur and you might need help from your parents or sometimes the cops or an ambulance and thats where you say "i think its wise if you got me a cell phone because its a crazy world out there".....hope this helps

tell them it really is for safe practices causes - what if there changed into an emergency and also you had to call 911? no matter if you do not flow out w/ acquaintances very commonly, it remains a sturdy theory to have a telephone. tell your mum and dad that a cellular will be somewhat functional in case you've been on the mall and needed them to p.c.. you up or something like that. you'll be able to continually call them or they could call you too. ultimately, enable them keep in mind that all of your acquaintances have cells and it really is a classic element on your age.

I would employ the tactic of reminding them of all the sickos and perverts there are out there nowadays and tell them a mobile phone would give them piece of mind when you are out, it's all about safety. I never ever leave home without my mobile, It's still about safety but in a different way, I consider one essential nowadays, you never know when you will need a phone, I would have been up s..t creek a couple of times without mine when my car broke down in a remote location.

You dont have to convince parents, but talk in the same wavelength as them. What most concerns them is your well being, but yet you must also show responsible towards the phone once its been issued. They are hesitant w/ the ph because they are afraid of the ph bill. So negotiate yours and their terms and they may consider it then.

There's always a pay phone. Honestly, kids should not have a cell phone. It's a recipe for abusing it.

tell ur parents u want another way to conect w/ them. and scince ur older u think ur more responsable and u think u should be rewarded for ur responsiblilty. say if they were to get u 1, u could get a pre-paid one and it would teach u to not waste the minnutes and you could help by buying ur own as well.

be rational. make a list of why you should need a cell phone, then ask them why not. let them understand that "because i said so" isn't good enough anymore.
