I think the challenger will do as well on the market as the charger has done.

Chrysler is really missing the mark.
Their Calibers are selling like crazy and instead of making them and offering them to consumers,
they are selling them to rental companies.

The challenger seems to be a good car. But it is going to be bulky and heavy. In my opinion with the weight on it the horsepower it is producing is not enough. I think the Ford GT 500 or the redesigned Pontiac GTO is going to be better. I would not buy it unless it gets lighter and more powerful. I guess it would be a big hit for the lovers of the old Dodge Challenger and some younger people.

It depends, but while not huge it could be a good seller - I think they missed the market by a couple of years - Question is will it be offered in a 5 or 6 speed stick shift?

ME!!!! My dad's gonna get one. W00T!!! They probably wont sell as many as the mustang did, the first model year, but they will be dang close, because more people with the money to buy almost any car will buy them. The only reason the mustang sold so well is because it was offered in economy models, with the V-6 and almost no options, so that regular people could buy them just to say "Hey, I'm so cool, I got a Mustang, even though it's worthlessly underpowered"

Its going to sell. And I agree with The Crow. Look at mustang sales. They offer the V-6 to the wannabees who want a mustang for the name. The GT sales for real car buffs are not as big.

They challenger will be a very good seller, I used to work at a local dealership and my friend still owns it, he says he gets hundreds of calls wondering about preorders, and we live in a pretty small town.

Its a pretty car, but if gasoline goes back up it could mean the 2nd death of muscle cars.
