There is always an Atheist who is talking about why there could not be any mention of God in schools...Right? Then if an Atheist claims to not believe in any deity then Atheists have no religon. Then Atheism is not a religon and should be ignored by everyone else in the world. But if Atheism is a religon then it should be seperated from "State". It goes both ways. Atheist(no religon)=no efect...Atheist (religon)=seperation. No way out right? Try to figure something out. Obviously I am Christian and in no way and Atheist. So go ahead and answer the question.

Atheist(no religon)=no efect...Atheist (religon)=seperation. No way out right? The truth is Atheism is a religon about no religon, which makes it a religon. A religon is a "belief" therefore if you "believe" that there is no deity then that is your religon. That does not always make sense because if I belived that beating people will take me to Heaven that would be my "belief" or religon. that would not make sense as well...right???Try to figure something out. Obviously I am Christian and in no way and Atheist. So go ahead and answer the question.

There is a seperation from church, so there is a seperation from church and state.

I have to say, I don't really understand what you're asking... but I'll give it a shot. I am not neccessarily an Athiest, I would say that I am Neopagan if I had to put a name on my "religion". However, I believe that there should be a seperation of church and state. The reason I believe this is because in this country a multitude of religions exist and all must be respected (religious or non-religious). Atheism is NOT a religion. It just means that a person does not have a religion. Now, if Atheism is not a religion, what makes you think that means it should be ignored by everyone? That is a pretty ignorant way of looking at things. Just respect everyone else's beliefs and opinions and we should all be just fine.

Well, here is what I think on this.
If you are going to let church back into schools, then you have to make it fair for everybody. If you want the 10 Commandments, you will needto add the 5 pillars of Islam when you get a Muslim. Have every new student bring a copy of their religious creed in. Then post it in there. I believe, however, that school is no place for this fight to be held. It should be open to all.
Atheism is not a religion. However, when teaching about the beginning of the world, you must teach the Big Bang theory, Creation as defined by Christianity, Hinduism, Paganism, and the possibility of the FSM plan, if you get one of those.
Prayer in schools is easy, as long as it is silent. My school had a moment of silence at the beginning of each new day. The religious would use that to pray.
We did not let people shove their religion down others' throats.
The problem here is that people think that only Christianity should be let into schools. ALL religions should be let in, or NONE should be let in. I believe all should be, so that students can get a better feel for what they believe. As a former Presbyterian (and a current freethinker), I had my faith tested first when I came to college. But that is a little too late. If you would like to carry on, please IM me. the_forgotten1806

Ok for one thing I don't see how you can say that if atheism isn't a religion then it should be ignored. Who made up the rule that anything non-religious can't be talked about? I think your reasoning there is flawed and therefore your whole "no way out" thing as well.
As for whether or not atheism is a religion, it is not; it is a lack thereof. You can't have a religion without a god/gods/dieties/whatever and a set doctrine of some sort and we atheists don't really have either one. Although we have a sort of unofficial doctrine I suppose...

Wow how very little you understand.
Atheist don't believe in a god..any god. It is not a religion..OK got that part?
So if we are to have a state religion, who's should it be? yours? Why? Buddhism, Islam? They have rights too you know?
That why we have a separation of CHURCH (religion) and STATE (governing bodies). So we don't have problems with rights being trampled on.
Atheist are not saying don't believe. We are saying quit screwing with our politics schools and rights.

Correct, atheism is not a religion and church and state should be separate. What exactly is your question?

Are you kidding me??
Yes, atheism = no religion.
So why does that lead you to believe that we should be ignored by everyone else in the world?
Amazingly illogical, you are.
