Its what famous people say. If no-one talks about them then they soon fall out of the limelight. They would rather horrid things be made public, at least then they are being noticed. its a bit sad really...

If you are being talked about then you are noticed. You are something to somebody even if they think the lowest of you. It is not supposed to be good to not be noticed by anyone. It basically means you are nothing

If nobody ever talks about you, it means you are insignificant and no one cares about you, and even when being talked about sometimes is kind of ackward, is still better than not being noticed.

that if you are feeling upset because you are being targeted by a rumor, you should realize that you would feel worse if you weren't being talked about because you wouldn't be the center of attention
