1) Don't take pills or appetite supressors.
2) Drink water--sometimes when you are hungry, it's your body confusing thirst for hunger.
3) Snack on popcorn--it's lower in fat and calories. Get a mini bag which is one serving for 100 calories. A great way to snack.
4) Go work out.
5) Fight the cravings--do something else.
6) DO NOT EAT OUT OF THE BAG! You'll keep eating and eating and eating. Learn moderation.
7) Focus on your meals. Try 6 small meals a day. Work on enjoying your meals instead of having to snack. This could be a problem too.
8) Don't just chew gum--it can make you bloated.

Hunger and "cravings" can result from low blood sugar, but also occur when the diet is lacking one or more essential nutrients. This causes you to want to eat more food in order to supply what is needed.
The diet to eat low glycemic index foods is a good idea. Also, try a high potency multiple vitamin-mineral pill daily, and take a couple teaspoonfuls of flaxseed oil or a good essential fatty acid mix oil 15-30 minutes before each meal. Glutamine (1-2 tsp between meals) may help reduce cravings in some people.
Good luck!

It is from the carb craving! Your body is on this rollercoaster of insulin ups and downs. When it is low you compensate with more High glycemic food then your insulin kicks in and tries to level it back out, but over time you will become insulin resisitant and get diabetes. The best way to get over the cravings is to eat from the low glycemic side of foods. www.glycemicindex.com or if you already have the weight problem and are in the begining stages of diabetes go to my website and contact me.
