If you are in a very gorgeous location, let the location take the cake. Don't go TOO crazy--let the gets soak in your reception instead of spending $$ on centerpieces.

One idea would be to create a fall topiary for each table by getting terracotta pots and dowel rods, make sure you paint the rods in a neutral color like brown, for the top of the topiary use a medium/smallish pumpkin, put a black of foam in the pot for the other end of the rod to sit in and the cover it with fall leaves, you could even wrap the dowel in autumn garland or ribbon. Then place small votive candles all around it. This is an elegant and simple fall centerpiece idea.

also this is a beautiful picture of a simple centerpiece that you can buy the parts to put it together at walmart for pretty cheap....

My favorite centerpiece for a fall wedding has been a bowl with floating candles that looked like fall leaves and then the took fake leaves and used them around the center in place of like rose petals.

Filled Wreath
A natural wreath made of pinecones and twigs was set in the center of the table, then filled with pumpkins and gourds. Decorate the "gaps" between items with sprigs of preserved or silk fall leaves.

Platter, Tray, or Plastic
Fall, Twig, or Vine Wreath
1 Medium pumpkin
Small pumpkins or gourds
Mini-pumpkins
Mini-corn
Preserved or silk fall leaves

Instructions:

To begin
Set a cutting board or tray on the table (or simply put plastic down) to protect your table from any moisture in the materials. Tip: Using a larger board should allow you to move the arrangement in order to change a tablecloth or clean.

Large Items First
Place a fall wreath flat on the table. It could be a plain vine or twig wreath, or a decorated fall wreath. Here we've used a square wreath decorated with small pine cones and twig bundles. Add one medium sized pumpkin and a few larger gourds inside the wreath.
Tip: Glue some felt to the back of the wreath if you'll be placing it directly on the table. Use a length of coiled vines or fall garland if you don't have a wreath.

Mini-Pumpkins and Gourds
Add several small pumpkins.
Tip: For deep wreaths you can fill the inside with crumpled brown paper or layers of bubble wrap.

Mini-Pumpkins
Add a few mini-pumpkins and other pieces (here we've added artificial pears). Then embellish as you prefer with some mini-corn, pine cones, moss.

Finish with Leaves
Finally, set silk or preserved leaves between the items to finish off the arrangement.
Tip: The goal is to eliminate the "gaps" and bring together all of the elements

Congratulations! If you are going for elegant, then go to Dollar Word and buy small clear vases and place them on fall color leaves and place a pumpkin candle inside. Walmart has some beautiful fall color leaves mixed with silver. They are 93cents a bunch. They silver sparkled ones to.

If you want to do the pumkins with the leaves and grouds, that is pretty. Or buy some silver bucket(walmart) and fill them pinecones and leaves. You can use the buckets and put orange, yellow, and maroon colored flowers in them.

Walmart has some pretty fall color flowers all ready in pot and they are covered with burlap or have a burlap ribbon. You could buy those, and you are done! No need to stress with leaves, flowers, and hot glue guns...They are grogeous!

I hope you have the most wonderful happiest wedding days, and I will have a happy 45th birthday. I have 2 weddings to go, and then I am going to go celebrate my day. So, I will have a special toast for all you lucky brides that you have many many years of happiness and health....

God bless us all.........

Cutting it a bit close!

Since its fall, maybe get tiny baskets (dark brown wicker) and fill them with small gourds and pumpkins. Put some artifical leaves around the handle of it and if you want to add some pizzaz...put in some gold accents. A nice bow at one of the ends of the handles would be perfect (add a little bit of a train to the one end of the bow so it drapes dramactically onto the table.) I would do the ribbon in a burnt orange.

A couple votive candles on each table to bounce some light off that gold and there ya go!

Good luck :-)

Pick up a few vases & put fall color flowers in them...or you could buy some little mirrors & glue small fall flowers around the edge with a candle in the middle. The mirror look with the candles is what I did for my wedding and I got a lot of compliments. It looks really elegant!
Hope this helps...
Good luck & best wishes!! :)

Are you going with a fall theme (are your wedding colors fall colors?) A suggestion could be-- Use fall colored leaves in the center of the table, place a tealight or small candle in the center of the leaves and then for a little whimsy or nostalgia add a couple of caramel covered apples one on each side of the candle. The stick that comes out of the apple could be tied with ribbons complimenting your wedding colors. Or you could decorate with fall colored leaves and place miniature pumpkins and gourds in the center of the leaves. You could also create little grab bags of candy as a little token of appreciation to your guests. (Kind of like a small trick-or-treat bag). You could personalize the bags by placing your guests names on them. Hope your wedding is memorable!

The only fall wedding I have seen is that the table had those small little baby baby pumpkins centers hollowed out and tea lights place in for candles at the table.

With the napkin holders, wrapped in cranberry vines and fall leave foil chocolates on every place setting

I'm having a fall wedding also and im going to hollow out some pumpkins (probably larger ones), filling them with flower foam and sticking curly willow branches, bittersweet, green apples on sticks, and greenery such as citrus branches or even kumquatsin it at the base. the small pumpkin gourds hollowed out with votives scattered underneath would be nice for extra ambiance.

congrats.

circular mirrors (small to fit in the center of the table), with tall pillar candles (in either ivory or fall colors), with colored leaves (either fake/silk or real if you live in a part of the country where the leaves have turned already) around the candle (either like a wreath or like big confetti).

you could also do a hollowed out pumpkin with carvings in the side (not halloween carvings, something simple and elegant) with a candle in the middle.

or, there's also a goldfish bowl or large flat bowl with water and floating candles in the shape of leaves, or simply small round floating candles in fall colors or in ivory, as a simple yet elegant centerpiece.
