Yes - is your brain like a machine permanently stuck in overdrive - you can't sleep - you can't concentrate properly for all the thinking you do - and what is the end result - virtually nothing - can we harness the energy of our thoughts???

If so we can power the world - I think therefore I am - but if I think too much does that mean I am too much??

I need to lie down now and think about this - tada

It can be. If you are ruminating on one topic and going in circles, then this inhibits emotional development. Also, if you spend most of your time thinking about problems in your circumstance then this gets in the way of taking action and in the way of showing concern for others which can lead to more social activities.

Introspection is generally a good thing, but like anything, it can quickly become nonproductive and harmful if you aren't coming to some hard conclusions.

Thinking, in terms of actually solving problems, completing tasks, learning schoolwork, is all productive thought, and I don't see how it could be harmful. It is pondering the imponderables, worry, and incessantly recurring thoughts that create problems.

God bless you, richly.

Too much thinking is never bad unless you keep thinking "about the same thing" all the time. We call that "obsession"!! So what are you thinking about? three guesses: Money, Sex or Girl (Boy)!!!

I don't think so. I think a whole a lot. If I keep argueing with myself though, it gives me a minor headache, but that's it. Or if your imagination is really wild, it might give you a headache. But it's not bad to think too much.

No as a matter of fact research has shown that the more you use your brain the less likely you will have Alzheimer's or dementia. the brain like the body needs to exercises to stay healthy. It is a matter of what kind of exercises you do that helps.
Crossword puzzle, trivia, soduko or number puzzles are very helpful. things like reading, artwork or solving problems are also helpful. stay away from TV, movies or things that don't allow your brain to expand.

Do you want to really live or just think about living? You can't do both.
