I know a guy that had 3 toes blown off in Vietnam. He walks just fine so I guess it's untrue. I am sure that a person that lost a toe would learn to adjust just like other people with various disabilities.

I have a friend who doesn't have a big toe. She lost it when she was a kid. Her sense of balance is alright. I had no idea she had lost it until she took her shoes off.
