A large number of ancient religions have different names for an individual (?) who does the same thing. For instance, the Egyptians had a god called Imhotep who originally was a real person and one of his 'jobs' was a Dr so he became 'A' god of healing (I think Bast was associated with it, too, and Isis). I don't know the name(s) for Indian (N or S American) healing gods/goddesses and the Celtic religion lists a few, I think it depends on WHAT you want healed.
As far as evil spells go, I've only heard it mentioned in 'Witchcraft' (the black version of Wicca-?) and whatever spell/curse is done, the person who cast it, suffers threefold

God forbid I should ever cast an evil spell, but I have seen people get healed when I prayed for them in the name of Jesus.
When I was a new believer in Christ, I was naive enough to believe what the Bible says. Still am, actually. But I believed the Bible before I heard from the camp who says that healing is not for today. But the Bible I read told me that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever and that all authority was given to Him in heaven and on earth and that the name of Jesus has been exalted by God above every other name.
Therefore, when I pray for someone to get healed, I do so by calling upon the name of Jesus. Because of the fact that I found that name powerful enough to save and heal me, I believe it to be powerful enough to save and heal others. And how often did Jesus say, "Be it unto you according to your faith?" Quite a number of times. I've seen many healed by calling on that name - thus proving that what the Bible says is true. That Jesus Christ is the name above all names - including sickness, affliction, and disease - and that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

HEALING AND casting evil spells HUMMMMM
for one thing at least healing is trying to do a service for someone .how you can lump both things in the same category amazes me ......
and spells are ridiculous and hold no power at all ,no such thing as spells ..........................
healing comes from the true spiritual nature of the healer and the one who needs healing ,it is not only christian preachers who can heal you know .Jesus even said we can do what he does and more ,and i am a spiritualist not a christian .

Spells are like tools, like a gun if you will. It is not evil in and of itself unless it is used for evil. A gun is not evil if it is used to protect a loved one or fight for Democracy. A gun is evil if it is used to kill random people on a school campus. Most basic spells use the caster's personal energy and also draws upon energy from the earth and/or the sky and/or the elements and/or one or several gods or goddesses.
