All top-notch gear. Hopefully you'll listened to the speakers first though...

Hi,
I own some of the same equipment. I listen to music a lot of the time. If it were me, I would go to cheapest prices search engine and read the consumer written reviews. They have almost every merchant on the internet there so you can also get a good idea as to what a fair price would be.
I hope this helps you an I wish you good luck.

Lisa

If you're not set on the AV140 check out the AVR635 - good review at http://www.treblemaker.com/2006/06/harman-kardon-avr-635-receiver.shtml

i think Harmon Kardon is crap. they are rated at what 70 watts per channel? they really put out about 30 watts per channel. i saw that in a independant test and that was a modle that was i think $1500. if there lying about wattage from a recevier that expensive, what else are they lying about? it made me mad when i read that. then it rated a marantz that was rated at 110 watts per channel. it put out 113 per channel. MORE then its rated. thank god i stepped out of circut city, and found a private speaker shop. i wouldnt buy a Harmon Kardon rec, ever.

hope this helps.

Lowest end HK you can buy. If you don't need to pass the HDMI signal through the receiver (and you don't ), this may be a good option for you. Compare it to the Yamaha HTR5840 before you buy.
