I think Palm is better.

At least in the sense that additonal programs for Palm OS seem less resource hoggish and a bit more responsive. The Windows version is useful if you need a REAL tight integration with your Desktop Windows PC. Corporations that want to extend desktop applications to the PDA probably like the Windows version for this reason.

But if conventional synching and the occasional sharing of a word or Excel file between PDA and Desktop are all you need, then I would go with Palm.

Well, one exception. I think Windows does a better job with video graphics. You can do pretty good video wih Palm but I think Windows is better for that.
