A very close family friend is getting married shortly. She considers my husband her second dad. They are very close and she would like to do a bride/2nd dad dance but we are having trouble finding the perfect song. We don't want to pick one that will take away from the real bride/father dance, just one to show her how much she means to us. We need some suggestions.

Any song that you pick is going to take away from the real father/daughter dance. Is her father comfortable with this?

Otherwise, there are other ways to honor your husband. Perhaps a special mention in the program, or as a speech?

Maybe he can pick the song out to show how he feels about her? I allowed my dad to pick our song and he picked "You've Got a Friend" by James Taylor. It's a great song that just basically tells how he will be there for her :)

A bit on the cheesy side, but "That's What Friends Are For" might do the trick. It talks about love and support, but doesn't have that "daddy-daughter" feel to it.
