How come if a guy gets laid a lot then its cool, good on him, his friends saying..--> oh yeh sweet dude ;). Yet when a woman gets laid a few times they immedietly get classed as being a slag?
if its ok for guys then why isn't it ok for girls?

good question...it's ridiculous, and as a girl, you just have to have the faith that by having sex you're not doing anything wrong, and double standards are barbaric and ridiculous!

Because girls can get pregnant, even nowadays with all the pills etc. It's a traditional thing - maybe it will change in about twenty/fifty years. I don't think it's okay for guys. None of my guy friends have slept around. Why does anyone want to be a slag?/guy or girl?

Because men and women have different primal urges programmed into their DNA.
A man is programmed to impregnate as many women as possible - so that his genes get into the population as widely as possible. If he does this - he is seen as an "alpha" male, wins the respect of the tribe, and gains authority over lesser males, and can go on and impregnate even more women.
Women are programmed to care and nurture for babies - for which they need a sole faithful man to help. The woman needs to be able to convince the mate she has chosen that he really is the father of her child. If he knows she puts herself about - he will have doubts about whether he is the father and will leave her to fend for herself.
These are primitive urges - and can be seen all over the animal kingdom. A few thousand years of "civilisation" is nowhere near enough time for an evolutionary step to cause a change in these habits and views.

Double standards are not new, but times are changing. It's becoming taboo for guys to be sluts too. It's being frowned on more and more.
Why is it that way in the first place? Equality is something pretty new in the grand scheme. History measured in hundreds of years, or thousands, show remarkable progress in equality. Measure history in ten's, and the progress is painfully slow. We're getting there, give it time.

Actually a lot of guys much prefer a lady who likes sex and doesn't try to hide it. I certainly do. Prim and proper is so boooooring.
The girls we want to take home to mum are not at all the ones we have the most fun with. We often leave them home alone and come looking for you.

people will talk smack regardless, whether a girl is getting laid often or not...if she is getting laid alot than they will say she is a **** or easy or as you said a slag....if she isn't than she is a prude or gay or some other term they may use...if you are getting laid often good for you, hope you are enjoying it...don't worry about what others may say or think.

It's because men need constant reassurance that they are playing the Field ... where as women are much more comfortable with their sexuality and men feel threatened so they find themselves resorting to degrading us..... ignore what men think and do whatever or whoever pleases you....Go On Enjoy...

It's makes them feel macho to brag and most of the time when they talk about the girl it's because they are jealous deep down because she rejected him. You won't hear him bragging about being rejected though do ya?? He's a jerk anyway, so ignore em. JMHO GaryT

Well women the worst as they use it maliciously, to bully women and destroy them socially.
Whereas as guys are supportive, and women fawn over the guy even more because hes "a stud"

Because people are hypocrits. I suppose the justification could be that women can get pregnant so should be more responsible than guys.
But really it's just hypocrosy.
