We went out for a month. She is incredibly beautiful and very charming. But I now I see that she was "taught" to be charming by her occupation. She pretended that she was in the music industry and was working late at the studio..ha..ha. In any case, I didn't find out until after we broke up (she broke up with me) and when I was trying to get back together (frankly I was really chasing her) - one of her friends spilled the beans. I walked into the club, our eyes met and my heart just crashed. I still have feelings for her and I am no saint but come on - she is a stripper - what future is there really. Plus I am really embarassed - she met all my co-workers, friends, my family etc.. - what if one of them sees her. How could my internal compass be so off?

How in the world were you supposed to know she was a stripper ?? You only dated her for a month. I'm sure if it continued your internal compass would have let you know something was off. Dont sweat your friends and family seeing her. You didn't know. They cant hold you responsible. If I was a guy I wouldn't be able to date a stripper either.

Let her go.
She is a liar, and in a line of work she and you don't respect. She doesn't think highly of herself or she wouldn't have lied to you.
She will never want a REAL job. She is making too much money, and getting the kind of attention she craves.
No need to be embarassed--you were misled. Happens to the best of us.
And if one of your friends or family sees her-they would be in a bar to see strippers, wouldn't they?
PS in the future--go slower. Don't introduce someone to your whole family and all your friends until you HAVE something.
What happens if she is a nut-case and now she knows your family, where you work, and can hurt you by sleeping with your friends. Whoa!!
PS again-What a person looks like is not who she is.What a person acts like-for a month-- is not who she is. WHOA!!

Stripper doesn't automatically mean ho...actually, stripping is the quickest way a girl can make fat cash with the least amount of work...slightly lazy, but ****, if I could put my morals aside or was caught between a rock and hard place, I would sure as **** lose some clothes for over 300 bucks a night...
Obviously she knew you would be uncomfortable with it that is why she lied to you...any relationship can work as long as there is trust and communication..so I guess you have to ask yourself do you trust her to keep work and pleasure seperate?

She was wrong in lying to you so blatantly, even after you broke up!
There's nothing wrong with being a stripper, but there's definately a lot wrong about lying to your partner.
Unless you are really hung up for another reason you are not telling us, you should leave her. I know I wouldn't want to be with such a backstabbing liar.
