Not brain cell death, but just sheer brain tiredness, it can cause obesity and heart problems for sure, as long as your getting at least 6 hours of good sleep, I would not worry.

It all depends on how much sleep you get a week. If you sleep poorly here and there because of your graveyard shift, if you can make up for it at a later time during the week, you'll be fine. It's actually healthier for both mind, body, and soul to sleep during a couple sessions each day. For example, I like to wake up at 4am come home from work at 6pm and take a nap until 10pm then stay up until 1am, so I get two sessions of four hours. It's better for the body, just look at animals.

Maybe not brain cell death. But, lack of sleep can cause memory problems. I am living proof that my memory loss was due to lack of sleep. Now, I take medicine to make me go to sleep and get the rest I need.

I sure hope not. I've been averaging about four hours of sleep a night for the last few years. If sleeplessness causes brain cell death, I am doomed.

No it won't, but it can cause you to have lack of concentration, and have issues thinking straight. It can make you feel dumb, and even cause some medical issues. Make sure you are getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep.

im so please you asked all these questions! thank you to the girl who answered them! i think a question in the paper might be something like what is the disadvantage to these results and its something to do with what other causes might babies die from? cos it says that it was compared with the brains of ten babies who had died from other causes - what might these be? Good luck :)
