give it a few days. i had mine straightened and it was great. Once you hair starts to grow it will get a bit of body back. Don't worry it will look great and it's hassle free. Just wash and leave it. don't blow wave it.

Well i've never had this problem before but if you listen to your hairdresser i guess she would be right..i mean she does do hair for a living..but you could try some inexpensive hair creams in a grocery store or pharmacy...just look for bottles that say extra body or extra volume. These creams ususally give you the body/volume you want if you have straight as paper thin hair....Hope i helped and i'm sorry you spent sooo much money on your paper-thin-flat looking hair..;)

Until your roots grow in, set your hair in curlers at night, sleep in the pink sponge ones or at night put your hair in a loose pony tail at the crown of your head and put it in a bun. Either of these two things will give you body when you wake up and will give you a smoother transition until your roots grow back in. Also your stylist wanted to show you how bone straight she could get it. Don't flat iron yours. Use a wide barrel curling iron. Was this a relaxer or Japanese hair straightening? The relaxer will "grow" out but the Ionic/Japense thing is permanent until hair grows out

My friends have had the same problem. The good thing is that permanent hair straightening is not really permanent. You can add soft curls to get some body. As your hair grows, the curls will come back.

My hair has been permanently straight since I was about 10 years old. To keep it from being so flat either me hairdresssed or I put volumizers etc. in it to give it more body. I love it actually.

Use a volumizing shampoo and yes some of the body should come back. It's just stressed right now due to the straigtening. don't worry it'll be fine. I too have had my hair straightened and had the same problemâ¥

Wear a ponytail or bun for two days. It's normal for it to have no body but DON'T WASH IT!!!!!! You will have wasted all your money. It'll start looking even better next week. You'll be able to curl it if you still want body. And look for Pantene products for straightened hair.

Nope. It will be straight until the roots grow in and that takes 6 months. You can go get a perm, but because your hair is so damaged already, that is not a good choice. Sorry.

You can blow dry it upside down and use a root lifter hair product.
