Ha! Been there and got stung big time! The only safe way would be if you knew someone who'd had a job done and recommended the plumber. I paid double the price for half the job. Whatever you do, agree a price before he even puts his tools down. I was supposed to do this and when he went off to get the tank, his helper knocked out my other tank in a flash. This meant I had to go ahead with the job and I was robbed blind. The very best of luck to u!

That never happens to me. When I call a plumber, I call a company that only does plumbing. I tell them the problem. They fix it. I pay them.
Having a repairman do more than one thing can be a benefit. I called a plumber to fix a faucet in a shower. While he was working I asked him about loose ceramic tile in a second bath. Fortunately, he had the tools and the ability to fix the loose tile, so I did not have to look for and wait for a second repairman.

Joe truly is a plumber and he would not choose a contractors license because he works for the plumber who does have a license. He changed into no longer in an "audience" for Obama, he changed into in his own the front backyard and Obama got here to him, so he couldn't be a "plant" now, ought to he. besides, it changed into Obama's asinine answer to Joe's question that embarrassed himself. merely the Democrat social gathering may attempt to crucify an innocuous guy who merely requested a query of a megalomaniac who canvassed a unusual community attempting to look messianic to the thousands.

Ask your friends or relatives first. Word of mouth is a very useful tool. When the tradesman shows up,observe his(or her)vehicle. Is it marked as a plumbing truck,or no letters at all. No lettering spells handyman-don't answer the door. Ask to see their license if they seem to not have the slightest clue how to fix the problem--most important, dont pay them up front. No legitimate businessman works in this manner.

Plumbers are licensed. If you are getting a handyman that says he is a plumber, ask for his license.

Call Roto Rooter (my husband is a plumber with them). National company, no BS, and they guarantee their service.

Next time check angieslist.com. It has reviews from others on the site and helps to find one that can actually be honest and address the problem.
