The Biblical view of women
The God of the Bible decrees that woman must submit to the dominance of man.
"The social and legal position of an Israelite wife was inferior to the position a wife occupied in the great countries round about... all the texts show that Israelites wanted mainly sons to perpetuate the family line and fortune, and to preserve the ancestral inheritance... A husband could divorce his wife; women on the other hand could not ask for divorce... the wife called her husband Ba'al or master; she also called him adon or lord; she addressed him, in fact, as a slave addressed his master or subject, his king. The Decalogue includes a man's wife among his possessions... all her life she remains a minor. The wife does not inherit from her husband, nor daughters from their father, except when there is no male heir. A vow made by a girl or married woman needs, to be valid, the consent of the father or husband and if this consent is withheld, the vow is null and void. A man had a right to sell his daughter. Women were excluded from the succession."

It never says women are inferior. There is an order to all things. When women take their proper place men are forced to do the same.
Only now have the tides of roles changed. Every child should have the benefit of a mom at home.
Yet, read proverbs 31 It speaks of the virtuous woman
It is anthropomorphic to double guess the mind of God.
I'm 60 , Growing up in Brooklyn Ny living in a housing project, I had hundreds of friends and acquaintances, but I never knew any family of divorce.
Outside of death , everyone had a mother and a father.
Only movie stars divorced.
We always want God to be fair according to us.
I'm sure you feel you have a full grasp on how to run the universe. But the new way doesn't work. 50% of marriages end in divorce.
You don't put square pegs in round holes. Every Religion has some measure of truth. They all understand the place of women and men.
Moses thought it unfair of God, not to save all of the people. Since we all deserve , the second death, (separation From God) God told Moses , " I will save who I will" Looks like they'll be a lot of self respecting women in hell.
What difference does it make what we think?
You are not a believer , you are of the unsaved , yet choose to judge God, who you do not know.
There is a plan to live and a plan for the chosen to get eternal life.
Your way is not part of the plan.
You are the subtotal of your experiences. You understand what you've seen and heard.

I'm a "self-respecting woman", and I believe in Jesus. Your accusation is without merit.
First, there is no reference for "Eccles. 25:22, 26:4-15, 42:13-14". That book ends at chapter 12! You might try rechecking your reference material, before trying to quote scriptures that DO NOT EXIST.
Second, the Bible does NOT say women are INFERIOR to men. The writers NOWHERE suggest that women are of LESSER WORTH than males either spiritually or physically. NOT TO GOD. That women are generally WEAKER than men is recognized, and cannot be denied as a biological truth. It is the unusual woman that can out-do men of her own culture in a test of physical strength! This does NOT indicate a lesser status in the Christian faith.
I also notice that you seem to COMPLETELY IGNORE scriptures dealing with the "duties" or "worth" or "righteousness" of human males, even when the scriptures are RIGHT NEXT TO THE ONES YOU QUOTED ABOUT WOMEN.
Humans are another matter. Humans of every religion and nationality, down through history, have taken whatever advantage of whoever was weaker than them.
Go back to the Book, and try again. Maybe this time you can find something releasing about women, something that confirms our worth as individuals in God's sight. It isn't difficult; they are there! Old and New Testament both!

I sorry you were insulted by a person calling themselves a Christian. That's not very "Christian" like.
To speak to your question and Bible references, I think you may be reading into them a bit. In the time these passages were written they would have not even have raised an eyebrow, but would have been embraced by women. In the culture and time this was very practical advice.
However, refer to Ephesians 5:25-31. I believe these verses are teaching mutual respect and love between a husband and a wife. Although the Bible teaches that the Man is the "head of the household" it also says a man and a woman are bound as "one flesh." To me, this doesn't make the woman inferior, but makes her one with her husband to share in life's responsibilities.
In our day and age, this may seem extreme, but maybe that's they way things are suppose to work?
Let me also say, this by no means justifies any type of abuse at any level nor even implies it in the least.
Hope this helps... Cheers!

Be more specific in this question. But the bible implies that a woman is to submit to her husband. She was created to keep him company in his faith, which is hers too. God says women are the "finders" and the men are "losers" that's why he needs her. So when he loses his faith or tempted she is required to lead him back. However, as we all know Adam and Eve messed this all up from the beginning. This is where sin comes from. He didn't listen and neither did she therefore they were shamed.
The woman is to love God first then her husband then everything else comes after. He is to do the same. Adam was created for himself and then came Eve, AS A COMPANION, etc. If you read the whole bible, from beginning to end, you'll find out Jesus said " a man is to leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife" and "the woman is to go from her home and be with her husband." There isn't an inferior complex to this at all. If people lived this way in a Christian relationship there wouldn't be deception, cheating, mistrust, AIDS, or all the now normal crap marriages have turned into. Why? Because they believe in their Lord together and rely on their faith in His Word that tells them they will be blessed " a thousand times" for honoring the Word. Which is the 10 Commandments if you didn't know that. Nice try on the quotes of the Bible but you haven't actually cited a single verse of scripture that says exactly what you interpreted. Re-read it. All of it and see for yourself it isn't as bad as you thought.

When the Bible was written, women did not have an education. The man was the one who worked and earned the income. That is why in one of the passages it says for women to be silent. I am sure that passage does not apply anymore today.
However Ephesians and Galatians, Paul does tell men to love their wives and to treat them as they would treat themselves. Even though there is a passage that says the man is above woman, Paul does write that husbands are to submit to their wives and wives submit to their husbands. It is somewhere in Ephesians.

because it was written by men in a Patriarchal society.
It worked for the time. Women's equality comes with technology. The ancient Jews did not have enough technology to support women as equals. Hell, it was all they could do to keep the temple from being razed.
What I think?
That was then, this is now. Read the bible. Take what you get. And make your own decisions.

Women were the first to discover the Resurrected Christ, is that 2nd class status?
We should separate the cultural descriptions in the Bible from guidelines for social structures.
If the Bible describes the way things are, that doesn't mean that is the way God wants them to be.

All of those quotes are from the part of the bible written by the Roman empire...they are not real. In fact only about 10% of the "new testament" is real. If you want the truth about how God feels about women read the Torah (old testament) and the Koran as those are the only surviving texts from God. BTW many will say that the Koran also demeans women but I have yet to find that anywhere within it.
