Your body consumes energy to do anything. You have to eat a certain amount of calories a day to sustain that energy that your body is burning. When you don't consume that amount, your body will go into its reserve, or, your fat. When that is all used up, the muscle is next. When your body has taken averything that it can, you die. Simple as that.

1. To live, your brain needs energy.
2. Your brain relies on your body to get food.
3. The food your body gets is stored and processed in the body.
4. If the body doesn't provide the food, the body becomes the food.
5. The body stops consuming itself when it no longer has the energy to do so. Then you die.

NO, the body has a way of trying to keep itself alive until there is no hope left. That's why anorexics die, the body doesn't know that by consuming its own muscle for energy that its killing itself....all it knows is it needs energy. Maybe with evolution, the body will better cope with people that tend to starve themselves.

if you dont give your body the right nutrients that it needs for a long time of course its going to affect it. after a while it would not be able to handle it anymore and you will start losing weight like crazy if you dont eat. this is not healthy, thats why they get so skinny because obviously they are starving themselves and it becomes obsessive making it difficult to stop.

You would think the body would stop consuming itself after a certain point but, no, it will continue to do so until the helpless anorexic is dead.

This is completely retarded. Thats like saying, I keep spending money from my savings account but don't put any money in, wouldn't my bank not allow my money to go away after a certain point.

If you don't eat to maintain your weight, you can keep losing weight practically until you are bone and skin. Haven't you seen some photos of starving kids from African countries? And you could eventually die from starvation.

no. when you are hardly eating your body has to get energy from some where. the body is so hungry, so it just starts eating your fat and then the muscle. the body can't do that.
