Those freshman chicks are always desperate to impress guys and land a "lay/boyfriend"...tell her to knock it off and you're not in the slightest bit interested in her. If you're an upper-classman, she's definitely doing some social climbing.

Don't respond to her flirting and when she starts to approach, cross your arms. If she proceeds to hug you, gently and firmly uncross your arms to disrupt the embrace. Once she has been stopped, tell her, again gently and firmly, that you aren't into being that friendly with someone you don't feel close to. Try not to make a big scene out of it, she can do that herself if she won't get it through her head that you're not interested. Also, don't try to make rumors, you'll make yourself look bad in an unpopular way.

Speak to her privately and tell her that you have issues with this. Explain that you are not interested, or comfortable in close proximity to another person that you don't know and trust very well. Maybe you could introduce her to the idea of personal boundaries which would not only help you, but this young "lady" as well.

Just tell her it makes you uncomfortable... or tell a mutual friend. She probably does that with everyone else and will understand you don't like being touched. If it's just you, then be ready for some hurt feelings.

maybe she started liking you when she 1st saw you. You need to be clear to her about that. Tell her that you don't like it hopefully she'll understand.

Just always make sure you're carrying something when she's around... If that doesn't work just stick out your elbow when she goes to embrace you.
