Unless you make a habit of it, the chances of any side affects are quite small.
The problem is that if you take any medication in excess of the recommended dose (unless instructed to do so by your doctor) you run the risk of doing permanent damage to which ever organs the drug is hard on.
Pretty much all medications are harmful to one organ or another... and interact with other drugs .. so unless you want to have problems later in life with your liver, kidneys, spleen, stomach, heart, colon, etc etc etc.. I suggest you do not exceed the safe dosages they put on your medications.

Of Advil, no, not for a one or two time event.
Other medications would not be good candidates for this advice, such as high strengths doses of Codien or Morphene.

That will not harm you on an occasional basis. If you do it regularly there could be serious side effects. You should also avoid doing when when drinking alcohol.

No, it is an anti inflammatory.. but you should ask your doctor before ever increasing your dosage of anything.
