Nothing on T.V about it. I called my neighbor and ask them about the deaths of our best and they ( who are Republicans ) told me not to bother them for they are watching Oprah Winfrey show. Can any one tell me why they died in a worthless war that has nothing to do with my freedom......or lack of freedom?

That's right why are you bothering people with this ? Why should they care provided they don't have sons or daughters over there.
And the whole war is stupid same as the Vietnam war I helped fight in. I could have cared less about the Vietnam war but I did my job because I knew the Marines were counting on me. ( As a navy man I provided naval gunfire support). I agree it hurts to see such good devoted persons losing their lives.

I'm sorry I can not answer your question under the conditions you set forth. This is NOT a worthless war that has nothing to do with your freedom---------or lack of freedom. Those marines that were killed were not there because they thought it was a worthless war and you are certainly not supporting our military for suggesting otherwise. Comprendo?

Grow up...freedom isn't free (read that on the Korean "conflict" memorial in DC). You sit here in the USA and don't even realize that you have the freedom to sit here and ask that question...I'm amazed. The Marines were killed protecting us from world wide terrorist extremists OVER THERE, NOT HERE!! If they died protecting your home or family or you, you would thank these heros and others like them and their families instead of offering up an ignorant question.

look they die for this country if you do not like it then move because it is hard for military families to say go i know this is what you said you want to do maybe not fight in war but they want to sever our country and well if they die in war they feel it worth it to know that we can sleep at night if you do not think what they do is right or wrong or something like that t hen move because the work for you to work at you easy job which seems hard but to them it would be easy support them do not drag them down for what the do hay i am not Rep or Dem i do not care everyone is someone they die so you could set on your computer and write thing about them

Sad, but the fact is that we're starting to pay a little less attention each day to the mounting death toll. Why? Because we understand that nothing is changing: the numbers are just going to keep rising and that our government is going to keep sending more young people over there to die, while Iraq and Afghanistan remain in their unchanging state of chaos.
We're simply becoming resigned to it.
