1 egg
2 (10.75 ounce) cans
condensed tomato soup
1/4 cup instant rice
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon onion salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound lean ground beef
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 Lightly beat egg with a fork, then add a heaping
tablespoon of the soup and mix lightly. Mix in rice, onion,
parsley, onion salt and pepper. Stir in the ground beef and mix
well with hands. From mixture into 1 1/2 inch round meatballs.
2 Coat a large skillet over medium heat with cooking
spray. Cook meatballs and brown on all sides.
3 Combine remaining soup with Worcestershire (you can
increase or decrease Worcestershire to your liking), stir until
smooth, then spoon over meatballs. Cover with lid and simmer
for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring every few minutes.

Italian Meatballs
In a large mixing bowl stir the bread, egg and milk to completely
combine and let it sit for 15 minutes.
Mash up the mixture with a fork to make a smooth paste.
Add all of the seasonings and cheese and mix well.
Add the beef (or beef and pork mixture) and stir together until completely combined.
Form the mixture into balls (about the size of a golf ball) and place on a GREASED
baking sheet (for easier handling when forming meatballs, lightly wet hands with
water and the mixture won't stick to your hands).

Bake in a preheated 400-degree oven for 20 minutes, turning over after 10 minutes.
Drain the meatballs on a paper towel and place in a large glass bowl.
Add 2 cups of your favorite spaghetti sauce and stir just enough to cover meatballs
Cover bowl with paper towel and microwave on medium for five minutes, stir, recover
and microwave on low for an additional 20 minutes.

Yes - and they are better than using a bunch of bread filler!! Get a good quality lean hamburger and roll the meat into the size balls that you wish to make (be sure to salt and pepper the meat prior to making the meatballs). Put about 2 TBSP of Crisco oil in a large skillet and approx. 1/4 cup of water. Bring heat up until the mixture is boiling. Place the meatballs carefully into the oil/water mixture and cook until the meatballs are cooked. You will need to roll them gently as they cook to make sure they cook evenly. After they are done, remove them carefully from the skillet and place on a blotting towel to remove excess oil (if required). I usually take them from here and incorporate them into my dish such as spaghetti or pasta. It will take more meat, but the flavor is much improved from the ones using bread crumbs.

A friend of mine takes bread and soaks it in either stock, water or beer and then squeezes all the fluid out of it and uses that (she has great meatballs by the way) OR you could uses crushed corn flakes or oatmeal or rice that is mostly cooked (mostly so they still have some room to soak some fluids up)

Good luck! Enjoy!

If you don't have breadcrumbs you could put some stale bread in a bag and stomp on it .. that will crumble it for you. Or you can try Oatmeal flakes instead. Good Luck ! :)

I've never made them with breadcrumbs. I use an egg, and whatever spices I have, oregano, basil, etc., sometimes onion soup, then put them under the broiler and turn them occasionally.
