Please be sure to eat legumes (beans and peanuts) as well as your veggie diet. You need some fat and protein (you get this from legumes) in order to loose weight and effectively keep it off. You can also get other healthy fat from olive oil and other nuts. You can loose weight from a diet of just veggies, but you can also gain weight at the begining of the diet or when you go off of the diet because of the body's starvation response. Try to maintain a balance of good-for-you fats and veggies to have the healthiest weight loss.

Not necessarily. It depends on how much you eat. If you eat a lot of anything you can gain weight. Try seeing a dietician to lose weight the healthy way with a balance of diet and excercise.

Yes but your body will not receive the nutrients and vitamins it needs to be strong. If you decide to go Veggie you must balance your protein, starch, dairy, etc. Research it before you jump into it not knowing how to maintain a balanced diet. Good Luck

Dont go that route. You need to have a physician watch over you extremely carefully if you go the all veggie route. It is extremely dangerous to do on your own.
There is a reason why we need to eat a balanced diet... Our bodies need the foods from the fruits, grains, meats and vegetables in order to operate properly...

there are certain things that meat gives you. vegitarians replace it with soy and such. if you don't get the protein from meat, you will have some issues (tiredness, etc.) but i don't know if you will loose weight.
