good for you, you have your own moral and standard. Be proud of who you are and let people accept you for who you are, instead of changing youself for what they want out of you.

honey let me tell you that you are doing the right thing. People may try and make it seem like sex is all that, but its really not. i wish i still hadnt given it up, 2 this day I regret it. With sex comes responsiblity which leads 2 added stress. I'm 20, and have been where u are. dont let those hormone crazed boyz pressure u. God will honor u in the long run 4 what ur doing. Remember God doesnt give u more than u can bear, so continue 2 do wut others couldnt cuz of giving in to the temptation. Stand your ground, and continue to be strong. In college, virgins are admirable cuz there r so few of them. Keep doin your thing gurl.

On the contrary, it'll probably save you from a lot of mess ups. Sex is really meant to be a union of the body, soul, and spirit, so when you have sex with someone who you're not fully committed to, it's not as great. Everyone will tell you that sex with someone you love is sooo much better/meaningful.

And if a guy is dumping you because your not doing it, then they're not respecting you either. Why give it up to someone who isn't respecting you. If they really like you, they will accept and admire you. I was talking to a guy who really liked me and when we brought up the issue about sex, I told him that I'm not doing it until I'm married. He sounded like he was about to cry lol. I asked if he'd cheat on me and he said (but in a more vulgar way) 'If I'm not getting it from you, I'm not getting it from nobody." You should be respected for your decision.
Besides, there are alot of guys out there who are waiting out until marriage too ya know ;)

Why would you want to be with someone who is pressuring you into something that is against your morals? This obviously shows that they do not respect you or your body. If they are pressuring you, there is no telling how many other girls they have pressured and actually gotten to have sex. I'm with you on keeping my virginity until I'm married and I'm 19. I have a very close boyfriend and we both agree. Wait for that person you love and for the person that agrees with you. You'll be glad you did in the long run.

I stayed a virgin til I was almost 18. There was no boy I met in school that was worth THAT much. Don't buy into other people saying it isn't a big deal or other girls giving it away so easily. You don't have to wait til marriage but let's be serious. Have you ever passed a guy in the halls at school that are worth that much to you? I don't think so...

Girl you really don't have to worry about that... I would advise you to put a lock and grid iron gates with the electric fences around that because the path that you are taking now is going to be better for you in the future. You might not see it now but trust me when you get older you will.. I said the same thing and I didn't keep up with it. Now I wish that I did.. It was something that I regret doing, I think that's the only thing that I regret doing in my entire life.

Gurl i waited until i was out of HS to loose mine. If the guy dumps you because your a virgin than he doesn't really like you at all. A man (yes hon a real MAN!!) will wait until you are ready! if being ready means marriage to you then hey the more power to you! Whatever you do DONT just loose it to loose it! You can only loose your virginity once and you dont want to loose it having meaning less sex its better if you loose it making love with the right man!

Maybe so, but are you really willing to give it up for someone to tell you that he loves you, just to see how far he can get. Guys like a challenge. Also, guys will try to get the best of you, by telling other guys that they have had sex with you when they know they have not. This is by all means not all guys, but some guys hate to be told no. Stand your ground. Date guys who want to go places, watch sports, interested in school activities etc. It's the guys who only want you to himself, every time, that you must watch out for.

I'm 28 years old & from previous experience, if he does not respect your choice not to have sex, you don't need him. It may seem like the easy thing to do right now, but when you get older you will respect your decision & so will your husband. I know, because I didn't wait. I would have felt so much more respectable to have been able to give my virginity to mu husband, not a guy that's now in my distant past!!

Any guy who would dump you because your a virgin is a creep and you don't need to date them anyways. You should be proud of yourself for making a decision like that and stand your ground and don't let a gut pursued you into doing anything you don't want to do. One day you will find Mr. Right and he will love you for who you are!!

no this won't mess up future relationships ... and congrats on your decision!! just let guys know up front that you'll remain a virgin till marriage and most will decide at that point if they can date you or not ... maybe you should look into a group of other teens that are practicing abstinance ... there are a lot of them out there.
