I don't know why but all of the sudden my 8 month old cat has decided to stop covering up her poop. She was doing it all along and now has completely stopped. I clean it out every other day and change the litter once a week. I just can't figure out why she just stopped. Any clue?

I have a one-year old male that does the same thing. I would only be concerned if your cat stops using the cat box all together. I think it is normal for a kitten to do this.

Did you change the litter? She may not like the feel of the new litter.

It's in-stink to let other animals in the area know she is there and it's her territory.
