The last time I faced what I thought was certain death (parachute accident), I had about 5 seconds. I sincerely thought my life would end in that timeframe, and I was an unapologetic atheist.

And in that timeframe, I pulled a reserve parachute, and worked furiously to get it to inflate. That was probably the fastest I've ever reacted in my entire life, actually. And if you hadn't guessed, I succeeded.

But in those few seconds, as I was watching the ground rush towards me, I had only one thought...

I literally chuckled to myself and thought, "****, this is gonna hurt..."

I seriously doubt that you could get rid of your doubts in 10 seconds.

I am sure there is not a god. I quite assure you that I won't change my mind just because I am dying. I mean would a Christian suddenly become Muslim at the last second out of fear they might be wrong?

God wouldn't enter into it - I would spend the ten seconds looking for a way to escape.

same as religion....

you don't know really how long you will live

just relax and go back to what you were doing

your question is like the fear factor orange and red alerts...

if red, what do we do? same as always, just fear to manipulate based on the unknown

but since it's now known, drop the religion and get on with life and it will take care of itself, in fact you could avert your own fake scenario and live to see next day, and the next

Tell my kids goodbye. I wouldn't all of a sudden accept Jesus as my savior, if that is what you were hoping to hear. I'm quite confident in my belief that there is no God.

Well, I would cry out to God to see if He would answer. What have you got to lose? If God is real, He would hear you and if not, it really doesn't matter. God does hear you when you cry out to Him, He answers those with a sincere heart.
