I want to be able to go around and snap pictures of celebrities and get paid lots of money to do it. What kind of degree or education do I need?

I wish you luck, as you wish to throw yourself into one of the most hated professions ever. Not very prestigious, is it? You can make much more money doing something different, but hey - everyone has their thing. If you are that good a photographer, go now and start stalking people and snapping off those pics. You won't get notoriety until you present something news-worthy and sell it. Also prepare yourself financially for court costs and lawsuits, as they are a given in the profession. Good luck!

All you need is a high quality high resolution camera, a car and drivers license, and to know the hot spots to catch celebs. If you are in Hollywood go to the Sunset Marquis, lots of Paparazzo hang out there waiting for celebs.

You need a really good camera and an insider to tell you where they are all hiding out...
Then you have to take the best pictures and then present them to the people at the big magazines....
The better the picture, the bigger the money.. (Like you catch a celeb at an abortion clinic or getting into a car crash that sort of thing)

I don't know about education but a good way to do it is get your own camera and go celebrity hunting and take some juicy photo's then go to a magazine company or even a newspaper and they will pay you for the good pictures you take.

You must first get use to being a lower life form.Go to the papers that handle those pic and ask what there looking for. Find and track the poor folks they want pic of and shoot em down.What dose it matter if there life and livelihood is destroyed ya made 200 or so.

None. Just start doing it. Even without one, nothing is to stop you from taking photos in public locations.
If you want to take candid photos at press events then you need to get a "press credential" from your high school, college, local newspaper, etc.
The skills you need to learn are taking photos, interacting with people and knowing the value of your photos.

But man..you gotta go after those celebs and I mean now soldier!! Get cracking and bone up on your stalking. Be sure to get in the ring some before you got to Malibu, so you can get used to getting smacked across the face a couple times a day.
