Keep it trimmed regularly, like every 6 weeks or so. Use a deep conditioner 1 time per week. If you can, skip a day between shampoing and use less heating elements (blow dryers. irons). I have that issue, too, with the front of my hair. It's really annoying, especially since it's in the layers and I don't want to cut those too short! Good luck!

Okay. Your problem is just what you said. you're washing it too much. if you wash it every other day instead of every day(meaning yes shower, but don't shampoo it...just use conditioner), your hairs natural oils will do the rest.

Try using the old fashioned method with the VO5 hot oil treatment. My mom does this and I have tried it once or twice and it really makes your hair feel great and healthy looking!!

to be honest with you, it sounds like a medical condition...the follicles where your hair parts may not be secreting enough sebum (oil) to be keeping it moist....maybe a good leave in conditioner or moisturizer right in that area to keep it moist....good luck

Try going to your dermatologist. He may precribe you a perscription for a dry scalp. But for over the counter, try Scalpacine.
