There is no difference between two basic engineering. The are the same. But Civil engineering is having a vast dimension. In civil engineering is also related to electrical engineering. As no civil construction can't be without electrical or mechnical.
Again electrical engineering is also related to civil. As building electrical towers is a core civil engineering field.
So it's your choice mate.
By the way I am a civil engineer and my wife an electrical.

Ask yourself, is it more likely that an electrical engineer would hire a civil engineer to help with part of his work, or a civil engineer to hire an electrical engineer?
