This chocolate is usually only available during Christmas. It is the size and shape of an orange and the pieces break into individual "slices" that look like pieces of an orange.

Terry's Chocolate orange

Here is the story

Terry's Chocolate Orange is a popular chocolate product manufactured by Kraft Foods, originally sold only in the United Kingdom, but now sold all across the world. It is a spherical ball of chocolate mixed with orange oil, divided into "segments", similar to a real orange, and wrapped in orange-coloured foil. As the segments, when packaged, are stuck together firmly, the traditional method of getting ready to eat them is, prior to unwrapping the ball, tapping it lightly on a hard surface causing the segments to separate from each other.
History
Its history dates back to the 1920s, when the so-called "Chocolate Apple" was first produced. The orange was launched in the 1930s and was much more popular than the apple, leading to the apple's phasing out in the early 1950s. On September 30th 2005 the former Terry's Factory in York closed its doors for the last time with the loss of 350 jobs, with production moving out of York and the UK for the first time to existing Kraft Foods facilities in Sweden, Belgium, Poland and Slovakia.

OOOO.....those are Terry's Chocolate Oranges!!

I'm 4.5 months pregnant and just had a craving for one and had to drive around looking in SEVEN stores in my town for them!!! Oh but it was so worth it...they also come in Raspberry, mint, and dark chocolate varieties. My favorite is the classic, milk choc orange!!

They're originally from England (I am part British) but it's wonderful that they're over in the states!
