Why does it seem that time goes by so fast as we get older?

Its just a question of perspective....

Think of it this way ... for a 1 year old child, 1 month = 1/12 = 8.33% of his life and for a 50 year old, 1 month = 1/(12*50) = 0.16% of his life....

Because we have to work (jobs, family, etc.) more than we have time to play or sleep.
