OK, I dated a guy for a few weeks, and fell head over heels. He then got an offer for his dream job about 2 hours away. I didn't want to "shack up" with him that early in the relationship, so I told him to give me a few months and we'd see after that. Meanwhile, I still wanted to keep in touch and even visit each other as we could. Well, the job kept him busy, and we only got to communicate about every couple of weeks, and declined in frequency. Last year he arranged for me to visit, but then had to cancel at the last minute. We've still been talking about once a month, but the emotions to say the least have cooled. This year, he's invited me up again, but he had to postphone the visit by a day because of his work again. I keep asking why he doesn't call or email more often and he just says he's busy. Since he's postphoned this visit, I've told him it's over. If he isn't going to make time for me I need to move on. Haven't I been more than patient on him to make time for me?

I think you did the right thing.. I understand he could be busy "working" but a man should always make time for his lady.. My bf is a nurse, he works, goes to school, is in the reserves, and goes to a gym, and we see each other everyday... I know your case is differemt, but he could still call you, email you..

Of course you have.Trust me a man will make time for whats inportant to him.Not to put idea's n your head but be real with your self. You are doing the right thing if he knows what he has he will get his mind right if not then let himlive his so call "busy" life and you live yours. Talk to him fisrt and see where the relationship stands and what he wants to make of it ,if his answer isnt good enough for you and doesnt meet your standards then keep it moving and dont look back.He will lokk better gone than to wish for something that may and may not come true.Who has the time?????????????????????

You have been more than patient!! You don't want a man who has to make time for you! You want to be with someone who can't wait to be with you and who thinks about you all the time! You made the right decision! He will respect you more for that than he would if you just dealt with his crap! Good luck!

You have been way beyond patient.
The guy has moved and started over. Time for you to start fresh too.
Sounds like you are his back up plan. And so far he rarely needs that back up plan.

Move on, u r worth more

You definitely did the right thing. Either he is super super busy and doesn't have time for a relationship, or he was just yanking your chain.
