I've used car polish cream (seriously) a tiny amount, then polish the DVD disc with a cotton pad, circular moves all over the surface. This is to remove scratches

Then, remove the remainings of the polish with a cotton pad wet with water with a few drops of alcohol. This is also to clean the disc.

I have heard soft scrub would take the scratches out but I can't confirm that myself.

to clean..... wipe from inside to outside.... if its not burning.... nero burning rom might help.
