you might be.. but it won't have anything to do with the fact that you are allergic to bees.. they are completely different chemically. and honey is mostly pure sugar.. i've never heard of anyone allergic to it.. doesn't mean it can't happen though.

They are two different things...

If you are allergic to bee stings, you are allergic to the venom in the bee stinger.

If you are allergic to honey, you are allergic to the local pollen that the bee collects to make it's honey. The most common honey allergy is the dandelion pollen allergy. The second most common honey allergy is for right composite pollen - this is where the bees make their honey from a wide variety of wild flowers in a region.

Now, there are some components of the bee venom that are found in honey of some bees as well, so for those specific bees if you are allergic to the bee venom you may also be allergic to the honey produced by those bees.

A visit to an allergist to have a complete allergy workup done will help identify exactly what you are and are not allergic to. With that in hand, you can buy food that do not have the items your are allergic to in them - such as buying clover honey instead of dandelion honey.

People that are allergic to one thing are more likely to be allergic to other things.

Bee sting allergy does not necessarily equal honey allergy, but that does not mean that you are not allergic.

If you are very allergic, use caution.

If you are worried, check it out in a controlled environment. Have your antihistiamine ready and have help available and test the way you would any unknown substance.

not necessarily. You can be allergic to honey but it would have nothing to do with being allergic to a bee sting. This is know. I love honey but am deadly allergic to a bee sting.

LOL...how cute are you?

If you were also allergic to honey...it would be totally coincidental. But...you might want to stay away from black and yellow too LOL!!!
Just playing!

If you aren't sure what you might be allergic to...consider making an appointment with an allergist. They can test for every allergy around. I would also suggest keeping some benadryl around for the smaller allergic episodes!

Be well!
:)
