Its possible that your friend is just late. Alot depends on how old you are and if your periods are usually abnormal. If she's young she might not have to worry, but i would go get checked out anyway.

Yeah, it's possible that she's late. Certain things can affect that such as switching brith control products. It could also be stress, for example she's been traveling overseas or work/life is extra tough. It could be a new regimine of medicines she's taking or nutrional products, basically anything that can change he body chemistry may possibly have a chance to affect that. Other than that, it could be just a cyclical thing.
Three weeks is pretty long to be late though, I would take a test or go to the doctor and prepare to be called mommy and daddy. But, then again what do I know, I'm just a guy. I've been married for three years and my wife was late for almost that long twice. The first time we had a baby girl..woohoo, praise the Lord, and the second time it was nothing. So, that's all I have to say.

Any woman can be "late" for reason's other than pregnancy. Stress can be a factor and hormonal change, or due to other complications. I would HIGHLY suggest the person of concern take a home pregnancy test. Just so you know that if it's positive, it's positive, YOU ARE FOR SURE PREGNANT. (There are NO false positives in home pregnancy tests). If is says negative you may still be pregnant but there is not enough hormone in the body for the test to detect. I suggest if it's negative you seek medical care and let a doctor determine the problem. GOOD LUCK!

A pregnancy test will guarantee if she is pregnant or not. If her cycles are normal then chances are likely that she is expecting. Only a test will let you know for sure. Depending on your area there are clinics where you can go to get a test that is free and confidential. Other than that you can get them at the store. Hope this helps you out.

I guess a lot would depend on if she's had sex within the last month or so. Other factors such as stress and hormones can effect and disrupt the cycle.
If your friend is very concerned, go buy a pregnancy test. That's the only way to be sure.

There can be many reasons for lateness of periods.
Stress
Physcial complications
But learn from this scare.
There is reason for concern, correct?
To be certain, take a home pregnancy test and then proceed with a doctors visit as needed.
Unless you care to be a little momma for the rest of your life, wise up and take precautions - better yet - do not play!

If a girl is 3 weeks late and her periods are usually on time, Then she is most likely pregnant. But there are cases of bulimics and anorexics missing periods or sometimes regular strenious excercise will mess with the cycle..... But the best bet is she is pregnant.

Sometimes if the person is stressed for one reason or another her period can be late. Just tell her to go see a doctor and until then try not to worry about it because if it is stress thinking about its not going to help.

Well it's more than likely that your "friend" is expecting. But sometimes high amounts of stress cause the hormones to change, most the time not that drastically, but it could happen.
Tell your "friend" that I said good luck and everything works itself out in the end.
I'll keep her in my prayers.
