first divide your day into 4
thats sleep, daily activities(include travels),work,entertainment..first divide the time for this alone dont classify deeply..act roughly dont try to be accurate but be approximate..suggestion is work less in begining until u gail intrest in it..
similarly even u work for 3o mins work sincerely
then classify your work time (that is relaxation time n others inbetween) slowly
classify the act which is worth and worthless
increase the worthful time of your day...
then after reaching a matured stage fix a target and try achieveing it set targets bit higher than ur capacity bcoz even u couldnt achieve it u will reach ur capacity...just a

How about a daily list review
Divide all the things you need to do into four categories under columns
1. Forward planning
2. Urgent
3. Soon
4. Someday
At the end of the day do a quick review and add / delete
The next day,. first thing perhaps on the way to work or over breakfast rewrite the list reviewing it
it works for me and helps you keep a grip on the "distant elephants"

It's funny how our minds work, or don't work! For many people, the busier they are, the more productive they can be. Therefore we need to schedule ourselves 'busy'. Making a to do list containing more items than you can possibly do in one day, is a good, positive start. Having a list containing one or two items, will mentally give you pretty much freedom of your day. Try making a list of every single thing. Need to dust? Add it. Do your nails, add it, etc. The feeling of accomplishment as we cross things off our list is awesome. Try tadalist.com, if you're on the computer a lot. You can easily make your list, email it to yourself & print it out if need be. If you're an on the go person, print it and take it with you. Add to it when necessary, and most importantly cross off as you accomplish!
By scheduling 'yourself' busy, you will be busy. But, write it down, or print it out. As we write thing's they become more of a reality. Do you find your head spinning with 'things to do', when you're trying to sleep? Get all those 'other things', out of your head & write them! Keep a note pad by your bed if necessary. As time goes on, you'll go to bed with less on your mind, as you will have your list!
Be sure to ALWAYS include time scheduled for you. If beginning the 'to do' list is how you start.....soon you will graduate to a planner - calendar. Which will be a neccesity, while working.
Good luck to you!

Just slow down a bit and take life easy. It's all about priorities. Set out your long and short term goals on two lists. then go through them slowly and write down how you would go about achieving them goals. Make all goals reasonably achievable and you will be surprised how well you do. Best of luck.

Try making lists and using a timer. Set it in 20 minute increments. You would be surprised at what you can do or do too much of in 20 min.

Schedule every waking moment for a week. Alot time slots for EVERYTHING from brushing your teeth to break time.
This will help you determine where you're wasting the most time, and what habits to change or eliminate from your daily routine.

you've got to get a grip on yourself and if hard work gets you in gear then revert back to it, and stop squandering your time which apparently that's what your doing right now
