i wnated to know when you go to the doctor to get tested for hiv and other stds what do they do and do they only test you for one disease or several and how long does it take for the results to come back.

I know that if you go to get tested for an HIV or an STD you go for that problem. It also depends on what you think you have and that determines how long it takes to know. I learned from school that for AIDS you have to get tested over a period of almost a year. First they take some cells, then they have to wait, then they have to call you back for some more, then wait, then they have to call you after a couple months to check once again, etc.

It all depends on what you want to be tested for or what the doctor thinks you should be tested for. Multiple tests can be done at one time. As for the length of time for results, it will all depends on the type of test and where the tests are sent for review. It can take anywhere from 2 days to a couple weeks.

If it's a blood test, I'm pretty sure they test for what you've requested unless there's anything mandatory...

they prolly test you for what you want and they might want to see if you have ne thing else..
