The most recent incarnation is that France received an intelligence report that bin Laden had died recently. They're trying to confirm either way, working with Pakistan.
bin Laden has released several audio tapes citing recent events, so it's HIGHLY improbable he died in 2001. However there is speculation that he was severely wounded since he hasn't made a video tape in a long time. All videos have been made by other Al-Qaeda members.

No one can confirm this. Stick around. They won't tell you the reports were false, but in about six months there will be another story about his death. I think this is the third one I've heard in as many years.

It is difficult to know right now what is truth and what is a lie. There are reports that he is dead. Our government says they are skeptical of the reports.. but if they knew he was dead .. would they tell us ? I don't think they would. Good Luck ! :)

Right now it's just a rumor. There is no evidence that he's really dead. He just doesn't want to be caught and has his "army" telling everyone he's dead. Until I see his death certificate with my own 2 eyes, I don't believe it.
