Wizard originally only meant Wise One. So, yes, there are definitely wizards.

'Wizard' is the term that was once used to refer to male witches -- however in this day and age both male and females who follow the religion/practice of witchcraft refer to themselves as witches. Absolutely witches/wizards are real. I am one myself! A witch isn't something you are *born* as (although you may be born into a family of witches and brough up as one), it is a religion/spiritual system. Different traditions have different methodology for becoming a part of their tradition. For most, this involves some form of self-dedication to the Gods. Even for those born into a family tradition, a conscious decision to follow the Old Ways must be made.

... well the reality isn't any of this flick of the wrist wave a wand and poof things happen.
but there is "supernatural" magic and such, that is real, and does have effects.
and there is psychic stuff which is real, and can effect things...
so the question is what do you/him define as a "wizard"
edit: btw, some of such powers ARE given by god....

lol. yes there are microsoft word wizards, and excel wizards. a lot of different wizards for installing new software to help you set it up. if your talking wizard like merlin. then i dont really believe in that. all it is is alchemy. mix a few chemicals together and make certain things happen. its all science now. thats what it was back then, the smart scientists "wow-ing" peasants who didnt know anything. lol

there are...but thankfuly not very many.... but there are lots who claim to be... and thankfuly they are not... those who deal with the very real forces of evil are enemies of all others... They can hide there involment very well you probably would never know unless the actualy showed themselves for what they are.... its the ones who are not real that get all the public hype from time to time... the truth of evil is only found in the shadows.
