Yes. Though some BELIEVE in "soul sleep", or complete annihilation, as a Christian I KNOW that there is a heaven and a hell. Heaven is a place where those who are saved by God's grace through Christ Jesus will go and spend all eternity in the presence of God. It is a place of wonderful joy and peace. However, hell is a place where those who are NOT saved by Christ Jesus go. It was originally created for the Devil and his angels when they broke off from God, but unsaved sinners will also go there. I know that these things are real, and I DON'T want anybody to go to hell; neither does God. However, people have a God-given free will. They can truly love God, or they can choose to ignore Him. He knows that we sin, and unsaved sinners can't go to heaven. Each and every one of us are sinners. So Christ Jesus came to suffer and die in such a way that He took the punishment of OUR sins upon Himself! What an act of love! He was perfect; sinless, yet He loves so much that He suffered FOR us! How awesome is He! Now, the gift of salvation is free for us; all we have to do is accept what He did for us, and we are forgiven! When HE becomes our Lord and Savior, then we are destined for heaven when we die, and death has lost it's sting; there is no fear of death itself for a Christian! I hope this helps, God bless!

John 3:16 (NIV)
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

My concept is the Elysian Fields. In Greek mythology, the abode of the blessed, paradise. Situated at the end of the world it is here that those chosen by the gods are sent to. That's where
Xena, the Warrior Princess, is and I want to be with her! She's dynamite! But seriously, I have no idea what, if anything, the afterlife will bring. As a Jew, the concept of Hell is not known and I absolutely KNOW that's not where I'll be going, despite what Christians might say. I will go to a place where I'll be given a chance to cleanse myself of any sins or wrongdoings, and then be allowed in the presence of G-d. That sound much better to me than lakes of fire and burning in torture for all eternity. What a violent and blood-thirsty concept!

There is an afterlife. You may be in the dark and buried in the ground, but it happens after your life so there you go. Afterlife

Most religions believe in an afterlife of some kind. I am Christian, so I believe in Heaven and Hell. All will be before the judgment seat of God. I will go to Heaven ( because of faith... nothing I did). Jesus did it for us.

I believe in an afterlife. First you go before GOD and get judged for either Believing in JESUS or not. Then you either spend eternally with GOD or Eternally apart from GOD.
