If theres a god, then where was he when my family needed him most? Why did he put these wars apon us? Why did he make sick people among us? Why did he make people that rape people? Why hasn't he helped me and my family? There is no god, he's never helped anyone, just there are people to dig them selves out of holes, You only have people and you to help each other. god is just a myth to give some people that hope. I personaly believe that god is just take take up time. If you spent less time practicing this so called "belief" then think of all the things that would be out of ur head and thing of the things you could put in that spare time. I know I feel much better not wasting time on believeing this god thing, i got more room for sports, family, friends, more things that matter...

Only you can decide if God truly exists, and I think you're smart enough to know that. Asking a question like this only serves to start a flame war between the believers and the non-believers on here.

I expect you already have an answer in mind, and will award the points to the person who most supports your own position on the matter. If this is the case, then why bother posting the question at all?

If belief in God motives people to do good, then it's good. Although, I think it's immature for a person to do good solely for the reason of being rewarded by God, and solely to not be punished by God. I think people should do the right thing because it's the right thing, period.

Non-belief in God can also be good. It motivates people to do the right thing NOW instead of waiting for God to make everything all better.

I think the important thing is to believe in an "Ideal." Socrates called it "Virtue." Robert Pirsig called it "Quality." Find a God or an ideal that makes you a better person and ultimately makes the world a better place.

And watch out for people who think they know everything. Including myself. ;) In fact, I'm wrong. Don't listen to me. ROFL.

yes there is a god,,,,he's a almighty god,,he's a good god ,,my life wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't for him,, god is my best friend,,u know how u can go to ur friend and tell them a secret and it get back out ,,,well honey i can tell my god and u will never hear it again,,,when i have a problem and its bothering me and i need to talk 2 someone honey i go on my knees and talk to my god like never before,,,i wish my 9 year was here i would let him answer that question for u,,he lets his friend know how god saved his life,,,my son got hit my a car and was in the hospital for 65 days they said that he might not make it and if he did that he would be a vegetable and he stayed in the ICU for 43 of those days and let me tell u i didn't give up on him and god didn't either,,,i have a praying church and a praying family and most of all a praying god
my baby woke up in that hospital after 43 days of that ICU saying,,,
where is zeno? huh mom where is zeno? and i just started running not sure y i ran and not hug my baby but i ran and called the nurses and i jumped up and down for about 2 mintues saying thank you jesus,,thank you jesus,,repeatly,,,,,u have to go through
it to c what i'm talking about,,honest to god i drop more tears like it just happen tellin u this incident,,,my son dog name is zeno and he was chasing after the dog when the dog ran into the street,,,so when he came out the comma asking for deno i knew he was ok,,,and its been 8 months and my son is doing very well,,he wasn't able to walk and honey he's walking and almost running,,,he use to play football and we not giving that up just yet,,,we leaving that in the hands of the lord,,,so honey i'm not sure if u believe in god ,,,but there diffently a god and u need to get to know him,,,,,god bless u

So you ask if there is a god, look out your window and what do you see. Look into a tree, stop thinking and just hear. Breathe, stand in a cool breeze and just breathe. Then ask yourself if there is a God.

is this a poll...because this question is getting old...God might be...may not be...could be...but no one really knows...the religious get a tingly little shift of gas and they think its faith...but no one really knows..not even the Pope...do you think if the Pope had proof that God really existed he would have not used it by now...its a money making machine...unless its contradictory...to what they want you to believe...i dont know...but i know i am not the only one...on matter how sure you think you are...you really dont know...at all..and that is so scary for some people that they pray...
