Where in the bible does it say that Jesus (PBUH) wanted his followers (Man and women/ nuns/priest) to be unmarried? I have another question in mind about this and priests in the news but I will not say anything out of respect :)

Jesus never said that. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 7:7 that we wished all could be like him, meaning unmarried. He meant that being married you have more distractions while single you could devote all your time to the Gospel. But he certainly didn't advise against marriage. More than likely it was just wishful thinking because marriage represents the relationship between Christ and the Church (the man represents Christ, the woman the Church). In fact he wrote this in a letter that was full of advice to those who were married.

Paul talks about how it is better for someone not be married but, The book of Esther says it best when it talks about the Queen was given into the care of the Kings eunuchs. Later in the New Testament Jesus says some are made eunuchs by accident, some are made eunuchs by birth, but, some by their own choosing for the Kingdom of God. We always try to judge Holy things by this world's standards but didn't Jesus say "My Kingdom is not of this world?" A recent pole of Protestant Ministers found that they envy the prohibition against marriage in the Catholic Faith as they realize by the amount of work they have to do in their own Parish's, that not being married is a blessing and if there is a rule against it, it relieves the social problem of dealing with it.

Here is what the Bible says:

Matthew 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. 10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. 11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

Its not that he doesn't want any of His priests to be unmarried. He just wanted to stress to His disciples that there would be some followers that would abstain from sex for the sake of their beliefs. Sex is a pretty powerful distractor.

It doesn't.

Paul gave *advice* that it would be better for someone to remain unmarried as he was, so they could fully devote their life to God... But ONLY under the condition that they could fully handle it. Otherwise, it would be better for them to marry, so that they do not lust or fornicate. (1 Corinthians 7:1-9)

As a result, the Catholic church and other celibacy-requiring churches have a rather nasty tendency to... seriously stray... and break Jesus' warnings about causing a child to stumble...

Mind you though, not all Catholics are Christians, and not all Christians are Catholics. (A Christian is someone who follows Jesus' teachings as best as possible, has repented of their sins and asked forgiveness, is born again, and is truly saved. Calling yourself a Christian does not necessarily make it true, unless your words and deeds represent the very things Christ did, would have done, or told man to do).

The only statement directly spoken by Jesus on this subject may be found at Matthew 19:

11 But He said to them, “All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given: 12 For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”

The others were given to Paul after Jesus' death.

Peace.

It doesn't say it ANYWHERE. Priests in the Catholic Church who are not able to marry are following a man made law, not a Biblical Law.

Jesus never says this. Paul made a suggestion that he clarified was NOT a command from God, but just a suggestion, like, "In my OPINION, it would be better IF. . ."

What Paul said was -- again, stressing that it was his opinion and not a command from God -- that he thought people could serve God better by not being married because then they are not bogged down with issues that might get in the way. But Paul also says, Hey, single life isn't for everyone, and if you burn for one another, marry.

It is better not to marry. But if you must have sex, then get married. It's better to be married than burn forever in hell:

It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. -- 1 Corinthians 7:1-2

For I would that all men were even as I myself.... I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. -- 1 Corinthians 7:7-9

If you're not already married, don't get married. If you have a wife, don't have sex with her. There's not enough time since Jesus is coming soon:

Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. -- 1 Corinthians 7:27

But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none. -- 1 Corinthians 7:29

Jesus never said that. The only one who even came close was the Apostle Paul, and he said he wished they could all be like him (single), but for those who had longings or desires, they'd be better off married.
